Follow the instructions in this article if you corrected a previously rejected non-LEDES invoice and need to resubmit it to your client via CounselGO. For general information on viewing rejected invoices, click here.
There are two ways to resubmit a non-LEDES invoice:
- Make a copy of the rejected invoice (recommended if corrections are minor)
- Create a new invoice from scratch (only recommended if you need to start over)
For instructions on how to resubmit a rejected LEDES invoice, click here.

Creating a Non-LEDES Invoice for Resubmission
If making a copy of the previously rejected invoice does not apply to your situation, follow the steps below to create a new non-LEDES invoice and link it to the original submitted version. For instructions on how to resubmit a LEDES invoice, click here.
1. Click New Invoice in the top navigation bar.
2. Click on Create Invoice Manually.
3. Select Yes for Is this a re-submitted invoice?
4. Choose the original rejected invoice from the dropdown list.
5. Enter an invoice number.
6. Fill in relevant/required fields (e.g., description, dates, etc.) and upload attachments as needed.
7. Add line items.
8. Click Submit to Client in the top-right corner when ready.
NOTE: Before submitting, check for any missing required fields and/or whether a unique invoice number is required.
9. Click Yes when prompted to confirm.
Viewing Resubmission History
Once an invoice is linked and resubmitted, it is recorded in the resubmission history, which can be accessed by opening the original or resubmitted invoice.
Clicking on Re-submission history from an invoice displays the Invoice Date, Received Date, and Rejection Date (if applicable). You can click View to go to the associated invoice. If you are viewing the original invoice, this will take you to the resubmitted version.
NOTE: There is currently no limit to how many times an original rejected invoice can be resubmitted. For example, if you resubmit an invoice and it is rejected a second time, you can copy/create the invoice and link it to the same original invoice for a third resubmission.
