With SimpleLegal's Budget Request feature, legal departments can request budget proposals from their vendor law firms to estimate the cost of upcoming work. This allows firms to collaborate on and approve a budget, which provides both parties with more predictable accounting of future activities.
CounselGO users assigned as collaborators on a budget request receive an email notification. This article covers how to work with the Budgets list page in CounselGO. For an introduction to Budget Proposal Requests and how to submit them, see our QuickStart Guide.
When a client requests a budget proposal, they select which contact(s) from the vendor firm should receive the notification. The budget proposal request can be accessed by clicking the link within the email notification or by going to Budgets from the navigation bar on the left.
This page lists all budget proposal requests sent by the selected client. If you are looking for other budget requests, go to Clients from the left navigation bar and select the relevant client.
