Often your Client will require you to submit a PDF copy of the invoice you are submitting. If you normally create your invoices using a LEDES file, you can still attach a PDF file before submitting.
You have two options for uploading PDFs. You can upload them at the same time as the LEDES file or on the Review page.
CounselGO recommends that you verify that the PDF and LEDES invoice amounts you submit to the client reflect any discounts, so that the PDF and electronic amounts match across formats (PDF, LEDES, etc.).
On the Upload Files Page
After you click the New Invoice (top right) button and I have LEDES files, you come to the Upload Files page.
Here you can drag and drop one or more LEDES invoices onto the page, or add them by clicking Choose Files and the file select window.
Additionally, if you have a PDF copy of the invoice and the file name of the PDF includes the matching invoice number, you can upload them at this time. CounselGO uses the invoice numbers in the file names to match the PDF to the invoice.
On the Review Page
Once you have uploaded one or more LEDES files, you can pause on the Review page.
Each row has a link for the attachment.
- Click the Add PDF copy attachment link.
- Click the Choose File... button and select the PDF.
- Click Save and Close (top left).
- Repeat for the other invoices on the Review page.
When you receive the green check you can click OK to close the window.
